Staff
Tammy Mulligan, B.A. – DenUM’s Executive Director came to DenUM in 2002 with twelve years of human service experience in Denver and Baltimore. Tammy currently serves as President of the Community Shares board, and she is a member of the Colorado Interfaith Voices for Justice board. She is a Denver native and graduate of Metropolitan State College of Denver with a degree in journalism.
Carolyne Schultz, M.S.W. - Community Relations Director Carolyne hails from the great state of Iowa. She joined DenUM's staff in 2007 as an Urban Servant Corps volunteer and served as the Urban Education Manager. She pursued her master's in Social Work at the University of Michigan, graduating in 2011. She also holds a bachelor's degree in International Studies and Women's Studies from the University of Iowa. Carolyne serves on the Extraordinary Lutheran Ministries board of directors.
Stephanie Beazley, B.S. - Program Director Stephanie is originally from Illinois where she graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in Social Work. She then founded a program for homeless and runaway youth in San Diego. In 2005, she moved to Denver to create a new program for formerly homeless families. Stephanie joined DenUM's staff in 2010 with fifteen years of experience working with low-income families.
Chad Pittman, B.A. - Case Manager Chad grew up in Knoxville, TN before receiving his bachelor's degree in Music Education from Middle Tennessee State University. He joined DenUM as a full time volunteer through the Young Adult Volunteer Program and DOOR-Denver.
Cristina Kinz, B.A. - Case Manager Cristina is from Louisville, CO and joined DenUm through the Urban Servant Corps volunteer program. Cristina graduated in 2008 from Luther College with degrees in Spanish and Psychology, and she spent a year volunteering in Argentina through the ELCA Young Adults in Global Mission program.
Jennifer Stone - Donations Manager Jennifer joined the DenUM staff as the Donations Manager in 2006 after volunteering for almost two years. She is originally from Vermont and is the mother of two girls. Jennifer's background includes extensive human services volunteer experience.
Johanna Bontrager, B.A. - Volunteer Manager Johanna graduated from Bluffton University in Ohio with a degree in Music Education before working as Program Director for four years at Crooked Creek Christian Camp in Washington, IA. Johanna is currently at DenUM as a year-long volunteer through the DOOR Network, and she plans to pursue a master's degree in Food and Nutrition Science.
Laurel Duncan, B.A. - Community Services Manager Laurel grew up in South Dakota and recently graduated from Augustana in Sioux Falls, SD with a degree in Religion. She is working at DenUM during her year of service through the Urban Servant Corps program.
Lindsey Tapp , B.A. - Case Manager Originally from Aurora, Colorado, Lindsey joined DenUM as a Case Manager after completing a year of volunteer service through the Urban Servant Corps program. She obtained her bachelor's degree in Religion and Psychology at Barnard College in New York City.
Megham Freytag, M.A. – Urban Education Manager Megham grew up in Dallas, TX. She later attended the University of Chicago where she received her B.A. in Psychology in 2004 and completed the Urban Teacher Education Program, receiving her Masters in the Arts of Teaching in 2005. After working in education and youth development in Chicago, Megham joined DenUM’s staff in 2010 and is finding ways to serve and be involved in the Denver community.
